Meet your buddies Marielle and Dave

• Marielle is trained as an Occupational Therapist in the Netherlands with experience in helping patients of all ages with muscular diseases and neurodegenerative diseases such as MS, Parkinson's and ALS. She has worked in hospitals with patients with acute brain trauma and stroke in the Netherlands. She did a Masters and Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the UofT to work on treatments for degenerative diseases.

• She has worked as an IT specialist at an IT service and solutions company in Toronto during the last 3 years before moving to Huntsville. She understands IT challenges and will help anyone with their computer problems, so they can stay independent and connect with their community. 

• Marielle is a passionate musician. She has been playing classical clarinet and saxophone for the last 25+ years and was active as a musician and President, Vice President, Manager, and Membership Coordinator of several community orchestras in the Netherlands and Toronto.

• Marielle was born in the Netherlands in case you want to talk about European habits or even practice your Dutch!

• Marielle's dad was a chef in the Dutch navy and she can help you with the planning and preparing of your meals.

• Dave has studied Millwright Maintenance Mechanic at Canadore College. He has done technical reviews for Safe Work Procedures and Safe Operating Procedures. He was an active member of a Joint Health and Safety Committee for 10 years. He is First Aid certified.

• He can be your handyman. He has had experience in supervising a factory in Milton for over 15 years. He knows everything you need to help you with your home repairs and maintenance.

• Dave is everyone's favorite son. His happy laugh will brighten your day.

• Dave is the ultimate pet lover. He has been called the dog whisperer and would be happy to help your beloved pets.

• He is blessed with a 1950s off-grid family cottage in Burks Falls. Dave is well-rounded in maintenance and garden work.

We love hiking with our dogs Scully and Jozy. Being at the cottage, canoeing, and gardening. We enjoy playing music, curling, painting, renovating, design and keeping busy.
